National Down Syndrome Society
Employment program whose goal is to encourage corporations and businesses to invest in hiring people with Down syndrome and increase the number of opportunities for individuals with Down syndrome to work in meaningful and competitive employment settings. MY POSSIBILITIES
Plano, TX
My Possibilities Vocational Education program offers courses for individuals with IDD to explore their interests, build stamina, and reiterate the work expectations needed to obtain and retain a paid position in the community. One-on-one employment consultation is also available through the LaunchAbility Career Services program for all individuals with disabilities in North Texas. The LaunchAbility Career Services program is individualized and focuses on preparing for, securing, and maintaining employment opportunities for adults with a variety of disabilities and other barriers to employment.

MINGUS JOB ACCELERATOR

Mingus Job Accelerator (MJA) is a unique on-the-job training training concept for adults with intellectual disabilities (IDD). MJA is located in Mingus, TX, a small town 70 miles west of Ft. Worth. The setting combines historical roots and repurposing, designed to encourage, guide, and train adults with IDD who want to enter the workforce with marketable and life skills.
